Great Book

I ordered this book as it was on offer and besides from a few flicks through friends' copies of the Kama Sutra over a bottle of wine, I'd never read a 'proper' sex book. This looked like a good one to start with.

The book is beautifully presented and laid out, with lovely softcore photos to separate the text and the pages are pleasingly glossy.

The chapters cover pretty much everything you can imagine, offering tips for better foreplay, oral sex, talking dirty, using toys (alone and with a partner), different positions, anal, porn, having a threesome... yeah, all sorts!

The book is well written, isn't too formal or clinical or too casual, with just the right amount of explicitness that doesn't make you want to curl up in a ball cringing. It's also very funny (intentionally) which makes it easier and more fun to read with a partner.

I was actually surprised to find some tips and things in the book that I hadn't actually done or thought about doing before, so that was interesting. One thing that did niggle me slightly was how often it is said that generally women can't orgasm from penetrative sex - I definitely can with ease so all the "never mind, do this instead" bits were slightly irrelevant to me personally, but might be helpful to ladies who can't.

The book is also very accessible to lovers of all ages, there's even a little section about what sort of things couples (statistically) get up to most during certain periods of life (it's set out as 20s, 30s and 40s). Rereading it again in 10 years could be a completely different experience.

All in all, if you've never read a 'better sex' book and want a good one to start with that covers a wide range of subjects, this would be a good one to go with.

Surprise Surprise

I got this book in a promotion 2 for £10 and it was a present for my friend.

Not that I thought she was not experienced enough but I thought she may enjoy reading it.

As soon as it came in I sat down on my couch and read most of it, and surprise surprise you think you know it all. I always considered myself to be experienced but this book takes you through anything you would ever like to do in bed, and things you never thought of. It describes everything in details and I do regret I never copied it, but that just means I will get it for myself too.

I loved the author's sense of humour. I laughed a lot while reading it. It gives you perfect hints on how to satisfy your partner, but also tells you what you may possibly like. It also talks about gay sex, which is not a typical subject but it is interesting. There are lots of colourful pictures and all is written in a clear language.

Oh and one more thing, it actually turns you on! I recommend it as a gift or just for yourself. It's really worth the money.

Excellent book

I am in a monogamous relationship and have been for 28 years. I seem to have unleashed a new wave of libido in my late 40s and this book is full of great ideas and tips.

Some old fallbacks and some exciting new things to try. Some great ideas, a lot of humour and beautiful photographs.

I shall be bookmarking my favourites and asking my husband to do the same and then let the fun commence.

Sex book that does help

It covers both male and female. Great for oral and different positions and also how to spice things up.

Very happy with this book - feels like best buy for first book.

A book every man should read!

When I received this book I was expecting the same as the other 4 books I have but this one is completely different.

It gives amazing oral tips for men and women, alternative positions if either partner is shy/confident when it comes to oral. It gives advice on how to spice up a relationship and also explains in depth why the honeymoon period wears off and how to trick your body into believing it hasn't.

It is great for couples as it gives amazing ways to spice up your sex lives and helps men understand why women need them to exercise their tongue!

It's great for single people because it gives you pointers on how to get the most out of one night stands and new relationships.

If I had to pick a bad point it was that certain sections don't apply to me as I'm in a relationship but that isn't really a negative point is it?!

Overall worth the money as it is an interesting, factual and fun book and it's different from the others!
